flood is allocating 10GB of memory in the matter of few minutes, and the amount of allocated memory grows infinitely #814

    • Version (stable release) Yes, 4.8.2
    • Commit ID (development release) N\A
  • Environment name and version:
    • Node.js version N\A
    • npm version N\A
    • Web browser latest clean install of Chrome
  • Torrent client and version: Transmission 3.00

Summary

The flood is using huge amount of virtual memory.

Current Behavior

As soon, as it is started, the memory allocation keeps growing. After it grew to 10GB I turned it off. I then restarted, but flood immediately started allocating huge amounts of virtual memory again.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. run the 4.8.2 deb build
  2. have Chome Browser
  3. have transmission 3.00
  4. wait a minute
  5. flood will start allocating gigabytes of memory, infinitely growing in size, and quick.
