Error on player with 4K Live TV #4450
Comments
We found the issue here. Essentially the probe size is to large and the client times out while it waits for ffmpeg to get a large enough sample to probe. |
Hey ! Thanks for the reply ! I checked the other issue but it seems that on issue you mentionned they can't play the stream at all. In mine I actually get the live TV playing with the sound (with a sound transcode according to the JF dashboard) but the player on ATV keep throwing errors after few seconds and the stream stops. The weird thing is that it only happens with Android TV, not with WebOS for example even though it is still sound transcoded :/ |
Ah, didn't realize it plays for a minute and then stops. I just saw the Error parsing NAL unit error and thought it was the same issue, but alas, it is not. I haven't experienced this issue yet. I think you may have linked the wrong ticket though, can you provide the correct one? |
Oh sorry the mentionned issue was the one you were referring to in your comment. I updated my last comment accordingly ^^ |
I am also experiencing similar behaviour, however not limited to 4k streams. I can't see any pattern as to the content or playback method. Same streams play fine in other clients. |
This issue respects the following points:
Describe the bug
Hi,
I am experiencing difficulties withe the Android TV app and 4K HEVC Live TV content.
At first, the channel is able to play for few seconds and then suddenly I get a message saying that an error occurred with the player and the Live TV feed. The stream then stops and tries to play again, resulting in the same result again and again.
The Jellyfin dashboard reports that de media is a direct stream with a transcoded audio beacause of an unsupported audio codec (AC4).
I'm able to watch 4K HEVC Live TV content with other clients without any problems.
