I've seen a few issues on this that have been closed, but I'm having the same issue and am making the same request.
I'm running JamfSync 1.4 and my .pkg.zip files are greyed out.
Folks at Jamf recommended zipping our Adobe pkg files due to multiple issues we've had in the past.
Uploading Adobe via the web interface is problematic.
I have been able to upload the zip to our JCDS using API commands, then use JamfSync to copy the .pkg.zip from the JCDS (our failover server) to our local primary DP, but it would be nice just to be able to upload it to the correct DP just using JamfSync

OK...I assume the .pkg is a flat package then (doesn't show "Show in Enclosing Folder" when you right click on it in Finder)? I think if it wasn't flat, it would show the .pkg.zip in the list and not show the corresponding .pkg file. Does it show the .pkg in the list? If it is a flat package (likely), I'm curious what kind of issues you had that were fixed when you zip it.
