iOS device model, version and app version

Model Name: Apple iPhone 15 / Apple Watch series 7 (GPS)
Software Version: iOS 18.1.1 / watchOS 11.2
App version: Home Assistant app version 2024.12.2

Home Assistant Core Version
2024.12.5

Describe the bug

When I open the WatchOS app, I get an endless spinner trying to load watch configuration, see screenshot section below.

I already completely reinstalled the Home Assistant app but this did not solve the issue.

It also does not update the complications any more, i.e. new / changed complications will not be visible in the list of complications.

To Reproduce

  1. Open Home Assistant companion app on the iPhone
  2. Create a watch configuration (e.g. set some scenes as entries)
  3. Start the Home Assistant watch app

Expected behavior

Watch OS app will successfully load the configuration

Let's try this:

  • Keep the iOS App (do not uninstall it)
  • Reset the watch configuration (button at the bottom of watch configuration screen)
  • Uninstall the watch app and install it again
  • Reinstall and try again
