I would love to have the log command available. I use log show and log stream a lot on macOS.

Would you have a pointer towards the source code of that command? It's difficult to port a command without its source code.
Update: also, a-Shell will only be able to access log info for a-Shell, not the system or other apps (even though you can access these through a Mac connected to the iPhone).

I use log show to analyze logs collected, and sitting in a folder in iCloud Drive. Having the command available would be great to use for this!
