macOS & Windows VM / can't type [ ] { } chars

Using helix in a PowerShell on a Windows 10 VM via Parallels on macOS 11.6, (Swiss)-German keyboard.

The problem is: I can't type any of [ ] { } chars, which is inputted via ALT+5, ALT+6, ALT+8, ALT+9. Nothing happens.

It works with macOS hx, and Vim can deal with the inputs on Windows too.

Any idea what the problem is?

Which version of helix are you using?

I've had a related issue which has been fixed by now (except for prompts), see #595.
There hasn't been a release since then, so unless you're building from source it's likely that this is the same problem.

This issue is very stale and hard to reproduce, so closing. Let us know if you don't think it should be.
