4.4.0 has know configuration compatibility issues with the latest version of motion eye, there upgrading the add-on as suggested isn't possible until the motionEye project has resolved those issues.
Yes this needs to be addressed our (upstream) end. We did some digging and found a way to add support for recent motion (with some changed config names) without loosing support for older motion versions. Here the related issue: motioneye-project/motioneye#2333
There hasn't been any activity on this issue recently, so we clean up some of the older and inactive issues.
Please make sure to update to the latest version and check if that solves the issue. Let us know if that works for you by leaving a comment 👍
This issue has now been marked as stale and will be closed if no further activity occurs. Thanks!
Problem/Motivation
I'm having some issues with Motion where I'd like to try the newest version, 4.4.0.
Proposed changes
Is there a way to update Motion to 4.4.0 with some terminal commands or so? Or would it be possible to provide an update of the addon with 4.4.0?
