Description

It's a try&error-approach to find the way on how to create a consumption based azure linux function. Current documentation and blog posts are misleading (at least for me) on this topic. Most of the sources suggest to set linux for the kind settings, which leads to linux type and not functionapp,linux

New or Affected Resource(s)

  • azurerm_function_app
  • azurerm_app_service_plan

Potential Terraform Configuration

The exact configuration for "functionapp,linux" azure function is:

resource "azurerm_app_service_plan" "plan" {
	name = "..."
	location = "..."
	resource_group_name = "..."
	kind = "FunctionApp"
	reserved = true

	sku {
 		tier = "Dynamic"
		size = "Y1"
	}
}
