This is my Mockup draft for what i imagine the Profile Generator web
app can look like:

  • Index.html : Introduction to the problematic with centralized
profiles and explanation of what hosting your own profile can achieve.
If the user already has a profile, he/she can specify the url where is
hosted and it will be parsed for edit.
  • creator.html: The form to create or edit profiles
  • profile.html: The result once the profile has been created/edited,
available in several different formats. The tool would also give users
the possibility to NOT host their profiles themselves but leave them in
    the platform.

Hey @elf-pavlik , the idea for me would be to bring this skeleton to GET-D'S Hackathon. I believe in a couple of hours we could get the site up and running.

IMO, following tasks could be defined and addressed during the event:

  • UI Design and layout. Illustrations accompaining the texts would be very cool.
  • Defining the texts so the context is explained precisely in a few words.
  • Generating the profile in different formats (JSON, LD, others...), outputing as text and storing it locally and generating URL to be offered for the user in case it should be hosted in the webapp.

Of course, we can work on this in the following days to bring it a bit further.

Greetz from spain!

wow, jsonresume is in a very advanced stage (love the editor, CLI ). It is basically what i had in mind. Is there, in your opinion, anything about jsonresume that does not follow the idea we had sofar? I would invest efforts on that project rather than doing the same myself.
Also, i am currently studying whether to adapt the OK directory to use jsonresume.
Thanks for another valuable reference elf!
