With GUAC v0.5.0, a demo-compose is now available that only starts:

  • guacgql
  • guaccsub
  • guacone collect deps_dev
  • guacone certifier osv

This is to allow a simple setup for users coming to the docs to run the demos. The doc plan I propose is to:

  • Short term: Update setup.md to use the new guac-demo-compose.yaml Update setup for demo only compose. #119
  • Replace the above demo setup.md with just instructions in each demo on how to start the simplified guac. The reasoning here, is that folks were turned off from the demos being to big of a lift, part of that is the full guac deploy page. Each page they have to click through adds another step for a user to change their mind.
  • Add a new setup.md for the "full" deployment. This will need to use a persistent datastore (likely postgres). This will come after the demos in the docs TOC flow. Add postgres setup #124
