Acceptance Criteria:

  • A design doc for the implementation of asyncio has been written.
  • Approval from @pfreixes et al. has been received.
  • Approval has been received from the core team, if applicable.
  • The design doc is written in such a way that the current python 2/3 agnostic stack continues to exist indefinitely, with no regressions.
