• Mona and Woju: to followup on Gramine website with LF

• Mona: EDMM finer controls

  • Discuss whether we should allow finer controls for EDMM for just thread creation vs dynamic memory management.
  • The proposal is to just create a knob that allows pre-allocation of memory, but in the past we have evaluated it and we have not seen much perf benefit, see [Pal/Linux-SGX] EDMM hybrid allocation #1262 for details.
  • @donporter is interested in the workloads/data that we used (different results were seen based on his experiments); better if we can share more info in the PR.
  • what else is left for EDMM: maybe lazy-free (but not yet on the plan)

• Add support for symlinks for regular files #1701

  • We will wait to evaluate Bobby's PR and discuss it in one of the Gramine weekly meetings after file system refactoring is done.

• Woju: asks @kailun-qin to double check on whether the signed release done in v1.6.2 (Release 1.6.2 TODO #1807, https://github.com/gramineproject/gramine/releases/tag/v1.6.2) fulfills one of the TODOs left in OpenSSF best practices silver level requirements ([Docs] Add OpenSSF Best Practices Badge #1773); if so, update it.
