I'm using scripts to scrap metadatas and add them to komga.
I store the id of the serie from the source website as a custon author fiels (to easily rescrap without having to search again)
I store the date of the scraping in another (to be able to update metadatas only after a certain amount of time)
it does work like that but it polute heavily the author filter which is not ideal.
those two examples to say that i think that there is a need for custom fields that are not metadatas or even avaliable on the webui to store technical infos in the db.
it's clearly a niche need but maybe you'll find it relevant...
