Question on how the focus management is done

I've noticed that the bottom sheet is able to lock focus when assistive technology is turned on. Also, when opening the bottom sheet, focus automatically goes to the bottom sheet container. But I can't seem to find the code that is causing the focus to go to the container or what causes the focus lock. I'm new to mobile development, so helping me understand this is hugely appreciated!
