The following currently causes type check error - though it is dealt with just fine by the code:

    f = ServiceXDatasetSource(servicex_ds)
    df = xaod_table(f)
    jets = df.jets
    jets['ptgev'] = lambda j: 1000.0
    seq = df.jets.ptgev

To fix this will require only altering the Types that are allowed in __setitem__
