Issue with circle on android (chrome)

Ripple starts as circle and transforms into square on bigger paper components such as paper-item.
Works as intended in chrome on windows, but not on android.

I have the same issue. It works well on desktop. I have two devices running the same version of Chrome for Android: Sasmsung Galaxy S2, Sony Xperia Z1 Compact. Riple effect on SGS2 is circle but on Xperia is square. I guess it is because the component is smaller on smaller screen resolution.

Any fix for this ?

Chrome version: 39.0.2171.93
