The last update for this element status is on:

core-drag-drop - Not currently working on.

I got over by the need from the polymer 1.0 version by using the gesture tracking system for polymer 1.0 described here:

https://www.polymer-project.org/1.0/docs/devguide/events.html#gestures

Hope it helps someone.

Anyone see any possible issues with taking 0.5 and rewriting it to 1.X (ie. using gesture events) ?
