ghostty crashes after resizing

I have open ghostty with a vertical split, i.e. one left and one right split. In one split I run a python script which generates a new window, causing ghostty to resize, after closing the new window ghostty freezes for a second then crashes due to SEGV. It does not consistently happen so I don't have a reliable way to reproduce it unfortunately.

I can reproduce this on debian testing/gnome 47.
Built from source, ghosty opens fine, I have a single window, no split at all, but as soon as I hit the maximize button or resize just a tiny bit I get a segmentation fault.
This happens if I double click or run from command line (kitty and gnome terminal).
This happens with empty config or just a basic config like

This definitely has to do with the build. If I download the ubuntu generate package from here resizing works fine...
I will try to create a debian package with debian dependencies and generate a .deb package!

My case might be related: ghostty for me becomes unstable and prone to crash if I have multiple active tabs open while disconnecting the monitor on my desktop (to preserve power).
When i reconnect the display i see the windows have been resized and the buffers are often corrupted before i force a redraw with reset. Sometimes the corruption lies dormant in a tab for hours, and once I select the tab ghostty freezes and crashes.

Environment: nixos unstable (25.05), gnome 47 running on X11 with a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 on linux 6.6.71 with opengl 4.6.0 NVIDIA 565.77.

Of interest I used scrollback-limit = 100000000 and gtk-wide-tabs = false

This matches my experience very closely. Ghostty has been stable for me except for when I connect/disconnect external monitors and resizing happens. I have not been able to get a core dump. I'm not sure how to help debug/diagnose this, but I'm willing to put in the work if someone has suggestions.

My environment is Ubuntu 24.10, kernel 6.11.0, Gnome 47, Wayland, with Intel graphics (RPL-P)

I've not set values for scrollback-limit or gtk-wide-tabs.
