GWC Rest API - Compatibility issue with GeoServer API #313

The GWC rest API for GS Cloud is the same as GWC whereas GeoServer vanilla provides a slightly different API:

  • wmsLayer is replaced by GeoserverLayer in XML for a layer
  • GeoServer automatically fills the wmsURL information

As a result, it is currently not possible to use the same API calls on both software for configuration.

As a side effect, the gwc layers created with the REST API on GS Cloud cannot be fully managed with the admin UI : they are displayed as GWC layer and not GeoServer layer.
