The only reason my team currently does not use this is because it does not have builds for .NET Core 3.1 / .NET 5

I would guess net6 is likely to be the better goal as it's LTS.

Actually it's not mine and i don't have the deep experience to tell the difference between two repos that why i added the link for the other repo
