The trimming of animation frames in commit f2a4da9dc8d9bbbf3bc0f7fede18231a37f37783 makes the edges seem somewhat rough and cut-out.
The thickness of the edges in the original art suit the game better.

Suggestion : Try to remove the halos without trimming the edges.

Main reason I trimmed them like that is because they were animating and constantly changing, but also I am working on cleaning up the art and improving it. Here is an example:

It's hard to see unless you full screen the pictures(I'd suggest windows slide show). If you alternate back and forth you'll notice cleaner line work. I play the game full screen so it was something that bothered me earlier......I plan on doing it to the rest too so that would revive the linework in the animations. May take some time though. :)

Great! The example edit is awesome.

Note : If you want to commit unfinished work, commit them to the git repository aog-assets. You can include your .xcf files (if you use Gimp). Once you're done, you can then commit your complete work like you did previously.

The important part was to get rid of the anti-aliasing artefacts on the white background. Adding an outline is considerably less work, unless you're (like in this case) touching up everything in the image.

I agree with it still being an "issue", in the sense that it should, and is being worked on.
