If I run TrainAsOne in the morning (I'm GMT+11, 07:00 local, 20:00 GMT) it will initially pull down the run from the previous day. If I re-run TrainAsOne, it will delete that run, and then replace it with the correct one - so I'm not 100% sure it's timezone related.
If I run TrainAsOne in the afternoon (local time, when the date will match the GMT date) it will download the correct run for the day.

Hmm, that does sound like a time zone issue. Do you have your time zone set on the TrainAsOne website the same as the computer where you run TrainAsPower?
Hmm, perhaps I could parse the selected timezone from trainasone so one needn't worry about making sure it lines up with the computer running tranaspower.
This could also be to do with the Start of day setting in Train as One, although I sorta doubt it. I changed mine to midnight just to try to avoid issues (and I never run that late.)
