The details of "supply" are not clear to me, especially regarding ships.
In the in game technology page both patrol boats and supply ships are listed as
"no supply". But on the web page, only patrol boats show as "do not require
supply".
I think the term supply is being used to mean two things for ships, both fuel
and ammo. It seems that a patrol boat never pays a movement penalty, it does
not require "fuel". But a patrol boat can run out of ammo if it is not in
supply range.
Does a supply ship ever pay a movement penalty or is it always in self-supply
for fuel?
If a supply ship is not in a supply chain back to a port, the rules suggest it
will give out ammo until its storage of 10 amo is depleted. But does it still
give the supply movement bonus (really, lack of a movement penalty) to a ship
in its range forever? or not at all? or only if it still has ammo stored?
