IIUC, there's no way of running rr/midas on Windows (unless one uses remote development). However, if one uses settings sync, the extension is installed on a Windows machine as well. Unless deactivated, a "do you want to install rr" modal shows up every time you launch vs code.

This is a rather unfortunate situation where the installation process has left some business unfinished in the config file of midas. in ~/.config/Code/User/globalStorage/farrese.midas/.config. If you set midas_version to "0.0.0" this should go away.
Thanks, following your advice, I removed the extension and deleted ~/.config/Code/User/globalStorage/farrese.midas. Reinstalled (I did this without removing globalStorage/farrese.midas and didn't solved the problem) the extension and everything is now fine. I believe I installed the extension then rr which caused the unfinished business. On Arch Linux btw.
