The installers above will install the JREs system-wide, but you can also package them locally in the Fiji.app/java subdirectory

Just to check, this java subdirectory doesn't exist by default right? Also when you say I can package them locally, do you mean putting Contents in this java directory?

Do you know if they have fx built in?

I'm also confused as to why menu options seem to be different. Here I'm looking for simply update so I can add new sites for plugins

and here I want to make sure JavaFX is installed but again seems to be missing
