Hello, we are working on a system that uses this great project. We are very satisfied of the ouput where processing Europe routes but we're experiencing some strange route outputs where the routes network is less detailed (we're using the 5km one).

So I have 2 questions :

  • How can we easily add new routes to the network ? Is there a tool you're using or something.
  • Do you have a more precise routes network that we can use, maybe on a 1km scale ?

Thank you for your amazing work.

I have worked with the 5km gkpg file and edited it so that it does not go over headlands and keeps the route over water. I am also working on creating straight paths as the current gkpg is quite jagged, and sailors like sailing in straight lines. You are welcome to use this file, I will keep it updated at this location: https://med-sailing.com/searoute/modules/core/marnet/

Hello, thank you for adding the updated 5km gkpg file. How do you run the updated file? It seems like it's slightly different to the original 5km gpkg file.

Thanks.
