Extended Profile Info

I would like to add the ability to add and manage new custom fields to the profile.

For example, this could be a link to your home website, phone number, email, manager’s name, department name, github login. Everything that is in Slack, Mattermost & etc.

I could fill this information using the api or give the person the opportunity to enter the value themselves.

I even found a proposal from 2015, but there seems to be no movement there:
