We should update to MongoDB Driver API 3. This would fix this issue: edemaine/coauthor#472

There's a work-in-progress in the mongo-driver-3 branch. It works for the purposes of Coauthor, but some of the built-in tests fail, and there are lots of deprecation warnings in both cases. Fixing this will require forking the gridfs NPM packages too.
