Humm, You are right.
Sorry about that. And for slow response.
Hidden network support wasnt really considered in my changes, If I take this any further I want to use one of the prebuilt Wifi connect frameworks rather than my limited home-rolled solution currently used, and they all support hidden networks.

Hacking around this in the code is trivial, but there is no current way to specify a hidden network in the config.
