All it seems to do is just turn the LED Lamp off (if I had set the lamp to higher than off). I try closing the brightness around the camera by covering the view with my hand, but even that doesn't do anything when Auto Lamp is enabled.

Ah I see in the html that:

<input id="autolamp" type="checkbox" class="default-action" title="Lamp only on when camera active">

Which explains to me that "Auto Lamp" is not automatic lighting level but rather exactly what is stated there in title. But I don't know how that title is visible in the browser...maybe that would be better as a tooltip popup?

I also notice the readme says:

"The web UI has had changes to add the lamp control (only when enabled) and make the streamm "

I would say the "(only when enabled)" is a bit confusing though now I get it. Maybe that sentence could be fixed or broken into two for clarity.

I don't know why that title attribute isn't resulting in a tooltip when I mouse over on my Google Chrome (91.0.4472.164 Official Build x86-64 Debian 11).

the tooltip only works for the top 3 buttons.

I discovered that the tooltip wasn't working properly. But I fixed it with: #146
