How-To: Choosing between multiple data sources

Device connections are designed so that users can mix and match between data sources.

• Speed and Cadence can come from a Trainer, Power Meter or dedicated Speed and Cadence sensor.
• Power can come from Trainer or Power Meter.
• Heart Rate can come from Heart Rate monitor, or some trainers allow to use them as a proxy for heart rate data.

In Connection Settings to activate a data source for a particular connected device you need to tap or click on the source name.
You are still connected to the original device, but the app will ignore the data coming from it and start using the new source.

The inactive sources are in grey, the active in white. Connecting to a power meter will auto switch to reading power from the power meter, but the rest in this case speed and cadence need to be manually picked.

Example:

1. Connecting a Trainer as controllable,

2. Connecting a Power Meter (in this case the same trainer), will auto switch to reading power from the power meter:

3. Tap/Click on the grey cadence value in the Power Meter row will switch the data source for cadence from trainer to power meter
