[26:32.000 --> 26:42.000]  Because on the talk radio circuit and domestically in the U.S., every day, the news is saying Iran is al-Qaeda and that Iran is training al-Qaeda.

[26:46.000 --> 26:52.000]  John McCain has been traveling in Europe and in the Middle East, had some problems.

[27:10.000 --> 27:27.000]  So what's odd about the stumble is that is it a stumble or was it this talking point that he'd been using for actually a couple weeks or over a week where he was talking about sort of almost blurring the enemy of al-Qaeda and the enemy of the Shiite-trained Iranians

[27:30.000 --> 27:35.000]  And the question is that he just sort of he truncated it to the point where he ended up misspeaking.

[1:10:23.000 --> 1:10:27.000]  and it goes on, we may never know for sure whether the Federal Reserve's rescue Bear Stearns

[1:13:45.000 --> 1:14:00.000]  Well, the Veritas is that the dollar is sinking under the continuing multi-decade and continuing trade deficits,

[1:27:14.000 --> 1:27:18.000]  were willing to cut a sweat in the law,
[1:27:18.000 --> 1:27:23.000]  because the law was in the way of getting drug lords
[1:27:23.000 --> 1:27:28.000]  or mafia criminals or white collar crime.
[1:27:28.000 --> 1:27:35.000]  And so over the years, the law was simply cut down
[1:27:35.000 --> 1:27:39.000]  by various groups, often conservatives,
[1:27:39.000 --> 1:27:42.000]  chasing after the devils that they wanted to get.
[1:27:42.000 --> 1:27:45.000]  Another thing that helped cut down the law
[1:27:45.000 --> 1:27:51.000]  was a change in the behavior and character of prosecutors over time.
[1:27:51.000 --> 1:27:59.000]  Prosecutors with budget pressures, political ambitions.
[1:27:59.000 --> 1:28:06.000]  Learn that their success indicators were a lot of convictions.
[1:28:06.000 --> 1:28:08.000]  Lots of convictions.
[1:28:08.000 --> 1:28:13.000]  And the big success indicator, let them jump up into political life,
[1:28:13.000 --> 1:28:18.000]  was to nail some celebrity.
[1:28:18.000 --> 1:28:26.000]  So what the prosecutors then did was run rush on
[1:28:26.000 --> 1:28:31.000]  over the notion of a fair trial, over the protective mechanisms
[1:28:31.000 --> 1:28:34.000]  in the law that the defendant used to have
[1:28:34.000 --> 1:28:37.000]  in order to boost the conviction rate,
[1:28:37.000 --> 1:28:38.000]  because they would say,
[1:28:38.000 --> 1:28:41.000]  I've got so many convictions during my term.
[1:28:41.000 --> 1:28:44.000]  And for most Americans, they would say,
[1:28:44.000 --> 1:28:46.000]  oh boy, he's really been fighting crime.
[1:28:46.000 --> 1:28:49.000]  He's kept the criminals off the streets.
[1:28:49.000 --> 1:28:51.000]  Look how many of them he's put away.
[1:28:51.000 --> 1:28:54.000]  They also turned the grand juries and juries
[1:28:54.000 --> 1:28:58.000]  into little ball-headed stepchild minions.
[1:28:58.000 --> 1:29:01.000]  Especially the grand juries.
[1:29:01.000 --> 1:29:04.000]  The regular trial juries have essentially disappeared
[1:29:04.000 --> 1:29:08.000]  because 95% possibly more of all felonies
[1:29:08.000 --> 1:29:12.000]  are now settled with coerced plea bargains.
[1:29:12.000 --> 1:29:14.000]  They don't want to go to trial.
[1:29:14.000 --> 1:29:16.000]  If you're a prosecutor, it takes too much time.
[1:29:16.000 --> 1:29:19.000]  So what they do, they've set up these plea bargain mills.
[1:29:19.000 --> 1:29:23.000]  Let's break it down from how we lost the Republic
[1:29:23.000 --> 1:29:25.000]  and now the new depths we're sinking to,
[1:29:25.000 --> 1:29:27.000]  because once you give up your liberty,

[1:34:21.000 --> 1:34:24.000]  And we'll get into the larger designs on this in a modern day,
[1:34:24.000 --> 1:34:27.000]  how these tools are being used in a concerted effort.
[1:34:27.000 --> 1:34:29.000]  But walking through the history of this,
[1:34:29.000 --> 1:34:31.000]  please continue, Dr. Roberts.
[1:34:31.000 --> 1:34:34.000]  Okay, here's one way to help the reader,
[1:34:34.000 --> 1:34:37.000]  listen to this and get the point.
[1:34:37.000 --> 1:34:44.000]  Say 50 years ago, the way it would work is if the police
[1:34:44.000 --> 1:34:46.000]  brought a case against the defendant.
[1:34:46.000 --> 1:34:49.000]  The prosecutor studied the case and thought the evidence was there.
[1:34:49.000 --> 1:34:53.000]  And that it was a worthwhile case because he had lots of cases.
[1:34:53.000 --> 1:34:54.000]  He had to choose.
[1:34:54.000 --> 1:34:57.000]  He'd take it to a grand jury and to get indictment.
[1:34:57.000 --> 1:35:03.000]  And then it would go to trial before a jury appears.
[1:35:03.000 --> 1:35:10.000]  And the prosecutor's obligation was to prosecute against the defendant,
[1:35:10.000 --> 1:35:16.000]  but also to fully explain his side of the story,
[1:35:16.000 --> 1:35:21.000]  so that the jury could hear the evidence on behalf of the defendant
[1:35:21.000 --> 1:35:24.000]  and the evidence against him and come to some decision.
[1:35:24.000 --> 1:35:26.000]  That was 50, 60 years ago.
[1:35:26.000 --> 1:35:32.000]  The day the way it works, if you're indicted, you're convicted.
[1:35:32.000 --> 1:35:35.000]  You don't have a chance.
[1:35:35.000 --> 1:35:42.000]  In fact, only about five cases out of 100 ever go to trial
[1:35:42.000 --> 1:35:46.000]  because what happens, they've set up these plea bargain laws.
[1:35:46.000 --> 1:35:51.000]  And so you're indicted and you may be totally innocent
[1:35:51.000 --> 1:35:58.000]  and you may believe in the American system and you won't say you want to go to trial.
[1:35:58.000 --> 1:36:02.000]  But after a while, the lawyer, your own lawyer points out to you that
[1:36:02.000 --> 1:36:06.000]  he's thinking about a superseding indictment with more counts,
[1:36:06.000 --> 1:36:08.000]  that is, the prosecutor is.
[1:36:08.000 --> 1:36:10.000]  And you better let me make a deal.
[1:36:10.000 --> 1:36:13.000]  He's going to get so many counts against you,
[1:36:13.000 --> 1:36:18.000]  you're not going to have a chance in trial because the jury always presumes
[1:36:18.000 --> 1:36:23.000]  that you wouldn't be indicted if you hadn't done something.
[1:36:23.000 --> 1:36:26.000]  So they're going to give the prosecutor something,
[1:36:26.000 --> 1:36:29.000]  hardly anybody ever gets off innocent.
[1:36:29.000 --> 1:36:36.000]  So in the risk of being convicted at trial, it's far greater,
[1:36:36.000 --> 1:36:40.000]  the penalty is far greater than a plea bargain.
[1:36:40.000 --> 1:36:44.000]  All the prosecutor wants to do is get rid of the case in a way that doesn't hurt his record.
[1:36:44.000 --> 1:36:51.000]  And so I can get you off light and let me go negotiate with the prosecutor
[1:36:51.000 --> 1:36:57.000]  some crime that we can agree that you committed.
[1:36:57.000 --> 1:37:04.000]  In other words, the negotiated offense doesn't bear any relationship usually
[1:37:04.000 --> 1:37:10.000]  to the indictment, but it's the way of shielding yourself
[1:37:10.000 --> 1:37:16.000]  from going to court under a packet of charges that the prosecutor brings.
[1:37:16.000 --> 1:37:19.000]  So that's the way it works today.
[1:37:19.000 --> 1:37:26.000]  You simply accept a plea to some hopefully lesser offense.
[1:37:26.000 --> 1:37:33.000]  So that you serve a short time instead of being put away for a very long time.
[1:37:33.000 --> 1:37:35.000]  So this is the American justice system.
[1:37:35.000 --> 1:37:38.000]  It has nothing to do with justice or evidence.
[1:37:38.000 --> 1:37:45.000]  All attorneys, all defense attorneys today understand that prosecutors are permitted
[1:37:45.000 --> 1:37:50.000]  to pay witnesses against defendants.
[1:37:50.000 --> 1:37:53.000]  They can pay witnesses with money.
[1:37:53.000 --> 1:37:59.000]  In other words, they can purchase perjury against you.
[1:37:59.000 --> 1:38:06.000]  They can pay witnesses with drop charges with reduced jail time.
[1:38:06.000 --> 1:38:13.000]  And so the testimony that they bring against you that the jurors always fall for
[1:38:13.000 --> 1:38:19.000]  or almost always fall for can be purchased with favors or money.
[1:38:19.000 --> 1:38:26.000]  And so when prosecutors can convict you with the born perjury, you'll have a chance in a trial.
[1:38:26.000 --> 1:38:27.000]  Well, that's right.
[1:38:27.000 --> 1:38:33.000]  In fact, every major city and even small towns have a stable of co-kids, drug dealers,
[1:38:33.000 --> 1:38:38.000]  child molesters who are in court every week just lying on whoever they want.
[1:38:38.000 --> 1:38:42.000]  And of course, the feds set it up back in the 80s with asset forfeiture seizure.
[1:38:42.000 --> 1:38:46.000]  There's hundreds of things they do where they would lobby for states to pass laws
[1:38:46.000 --> 1:38:51.000]  where the police don't get money if it's seized by the state, but if it's seized
[1:38:51.000 --> 1:38:55.000]  and then you give it to the feds and the feds give you about 90% back.
[1:38:55.000 --> 1:38:59.000]  And there's all the famous cases in Texas where the state police pull over an 80-year-old woman
[1:38:59.000 --> 1:39:02.000]  with three grand in her purse and they just take it.
[1:39:02.000 --> 1:39:03.000]  Nobody's arrested.
[1:39:03.000 --> 1:39:05.000]  They just say, you're not supposed to have drugs.
[1:39:05.000 --> 1:39:07.000]  You're guilty until proven innocent.
[1:39:07.000 --> 1:39:13.000]  Or how do the banks sit there and report everything you're doing over $5,000 to the government?
[1:39:13.000 --> 1:39:15.000]  No judge, no jury, no warrants.
[1:39:15.000 --> 1:39:18.000]  It's just totally lawless now.
[1:39:18.000 --> 1:39:19.000]  That's right.
[1:39:19.000 --> 1:39:23.000]  You know, in Florida it happened.
[1:39:23.000 --> 1:39:31.000]  The police set up roadblocks on I-95 and just robbed past the people driving down the interstate
[1:39:31.000 --> 1:39:39.000]  on the grounds that if you had very much cash, then that was plausible reasoning
[1:39:39.000 --> 1:39:42.000]  that you were going to buy yourself drugs.
[1:39:42.000 --> 1:39:49.000]  And after one of the hurricanes, they stopped this woman, Lina Washington, the famous case.
[1:39:49.000 --> 1:39:55.000]  She had an insurance settlement from the insurance company who was going, being black.
[1:39:55.000 --> 1:39:57.000]  They won't take her check or anything.
[1:39:57.000 --> 1:40:01.000]  She had the cash going to get supplies to fix her home.
[1:40:01.000 --> 1:40:03.000]  $19,000 she had.
[1:40:03.000 --> 1:40:04.000]  And so what?
[1:40:04.000 --> 1:40:06.000]  The police stopped and took the money.
[1:40:06.000 --> 1:40:13.000]  And they didn't even get her name, no receipt, nothing.
[1:40:13.000 --> 1:40:21.000]  She fought them and was eventually able to get $15,000 back if she made an agreement they could keep $4,000.
[1:40:21.000 --> 1:40:23.000]  So yeah, it's robber baron.
[1:40:23.000 --> 1:40:25.000]  They asked that for up to a loss.
[1:40:25.000 --> 1:40:28.000]  We were told we're for drug lords.
[1:40:28.000 --> 1:40:31.000]  But now they're used against everybody.
[1:40:31.000 --> 1:40:46.000]  And the U.S. attorney, assistant attorney, have argued that the presence of more than $100 is grounds for suspecting drug activity.
[1:40:46.000 --> 1:40:48.000]  Now, I've seen some of the other asset forfeiture cases.
[1:40:48.000 --> 1:40:53.000]  You talk about some of these in the book where they get in the bus in your house looking for drugs.
[1:40:53.000 --> 1:40:54.000]  They don't find drugs.
[1:40:54.000 --> 1:40:59.000]  And I've interviewed people this has happened to, but they find a safe with $50,000 worth of gold and silver.
[1:40:59.000 --> 1:41:00.000]  They just take it.
[1:41:00.000 --> 1:41:01.000]  No receipt.
[1:41:01.000 --> 1:41:04.000]  They just laugh at you and shove a gun in your face.
[1:41:04.000 --> 1:41:12.000]  Well, you know, in the book, I tell the story of Donald Scott, the multi-millionaire, with his 200-acre Malibu estate,
[1:41:12.000 --> 1:41:24.000]  who was shot down, murdered inside his house by a 30 team armed agents drawn from a variety of federal and state agencies.
[1:41:24.000 --> 1:41:31.000]  And for those that don't know the story, it turned out that they had gone and gotten how much the land was worth.
[1:41:31.000 --> 1:41:32.000]  They were planning to sell it.
[1:41:32.000 --> 1:41:33.000]  They knew.
[1:41:33.000 --> 1:41:34.000]  Yeah.
[1:41:34.000 --> 1:41:41.000]  And they had concocted the story that this extremely rich man was growing marijuana plants.
[1:41:41.000 --> 1:41:45.000]  Also, we're in the tourniquets because there was no drugs.
[1:41:45.000 --> 1:41:47.000]  There was nothing there.
[1:41:47.000 --> 1:41:52.000]  They even conduct drug stings on valuable property.
[1:41:52.000 --> 1:41:55.000]  But it doesn't stop there when his wife fought him back.
[1:41:55.000 --> 1:41:56.000]  They burned her house down.
[1:41:56.000 --> 1:41:58.000]  Oh, I didn't know that part of it.
[1:41:58.000 --> 1:42:05.000]  Well, anyhow, Americans think they have rights.
[1:42:05.000 --> 1:42:06.000]  They don't.
[1:42:06.000 --> 1:42:13.000]  The minute they are in the crosshairs, they'll find out they haven't got any rights.
[1:42:13.000 --> 1:42:20.000]  They might as well be in Stalinist Russia or Gestapo in Germany.
[1:42:20.000 --> 1:42:28.000]  Now, let me briefly say what these most important protections that make law a shield.
[1:42:28.000 --> 1:42:30.000]  One is habeas corpus.
[1:42:30.000 --> 1:42:45.000]  What habeas corpus is, it prevents government from using its power from picking up whoever it wants, throwing them in a dungeon and leaving them there for the rest of their life without ever presenting any evidence, without a trial.
[1:42:45.000 --> 1:42:50.000]  That's the way it worked in the old days.
[1:42:50.000 --> 1:42:55.000]  And that's one of the great achievements of the English people.
[1:42:55.000 --> 1:42:57.000]  They stopped and overturned that.
[1:42:57.000 --> 1:43:07.000]  So, habeas corpus means the government cannot arrest you without going to a judge, getting a warrant, presenting evidence, and bringing you to trial and presenting evidence to your peers.
[1:43:07.000 --> 1:43:18.000]  Well, all that's gone if anyone in the executive branch declares you a terrorist suspect.
[1:43:18.000 --> 1:43:22.000]  That's all they have to do is say you're a terrorist suspect and have too many evidence.
[1:43:22.000 --> 1:43:24.000]  It doesn't have to go to a judge.
[1:43:24.000 --> 1:43:26.000]  And they can take you and throw you and get involved.
[1:43:26.000 --> 1:43:27.000]  Or whoever they want.
[1:43:27.000 --> 1:43:31.000]  They can rendition you and send you to Egypt to be tortured or whoever.
[1:43:31.000 --> 1:43:36.000]  So, that is the most important of all our civil liberties.
[1:43:36.000 --> 1:43:39.000]  And now there's a million people on the terror watch list.
[1:43:39.000 --> 1:43:47.000]  And six months ago, one of the head U.S. Marshals, Air Marshals said, look, we're ordered every month to put innocent people on a list.
[1:43:47.000 --> 1:43:49.000]  There's no real terror threat.
[1:43:49.000 --> 1:43:52.000]  We just sit here and fly around on airplanes all day.
[1:43:52.000 --> 1:43:57.000]  And they're just ordered, it said, to put families, housewives, you name it, just ruining lives.
[1:43:57.000 --> 1:43:59.000]  That's right, ruining lives.
[1:43:59.000 --> 1:44:09.000]  This is the way it worked, this is the way the Stalinist system worked, because the KGB was under pressure to find enemies of the state.
[1:44:09.000 --> 1:44:13.000]  And if they didn't, then they became suspects.
[1:44:13.000 --> 1:44:18.000]  So, if you're the local, you're the district KGB commander and you're not producing enough suspects,
[1:44:18.000 --> 1:44:21.000]  and Stalin says, ah, you're hiding them, you're one of them.
[1:44:21.000 --> 1:44:25.000]  And so what the KGB did, they conducted what we call street sweeps.
[1:44:25.000 --> 1:44:28.000]  They would just go out on the street and arrest everybody they saw.
[1:44:28.000 --> 1:44:34.000]  And by the way, in England and the U.S., they'll get outside bars and run up and say, I'm going to test you for drugs right now.
[1:44:34.000 --> 1:44:38.000]  Or they'll now pull you over and call a rod and demand blood samples on the side of the road.
[1:44:38.000 --> 1:44:44.000]  And if you say no, they then say you're interfering with the duty of a police officer and take you to jail.
[1:44:44.000 --> 1:44:45.000]  Yeah.
[1:44:45.000 --> 1:44:49.000]  Now, let me tell you some of the other things we've lost.
[1:44:49.000 --> 1:45:00.000]  One is there's a prohibition against retroactive law, that is, they cannot make illegal today something you did yesterday.
[1:45:00.000 --> 1:45:06.000]  Or they can't make legal today something that you did yesterday that was illegal.
[1:45:06.000 --> 1:45:07.000]  Well, that's all gone.
[1:45:07.000 --> 1:45:09.000]  You know, super fun.
[1:45:09.000 --> 1:45:18.000]  It's retroactive law that held all sorts of people accountable for actions years and years ago that were perfectly legal.
[1:45:18.000 --> 1:45:27.000]  And we also see with the spy bill that Bush is trying to get through, they want retroactive immunity.
[1:45:27.000 --> 1:45:33.000]  The telecom company that illegally helped the government spy on them.
[1:45:33.000 --> 1:45:38.000]  So they now want to give them the protection of retroactive law.
[1:45:38.000 --> 1:45:40.000]  But then they spin it and say it's for Al Qaeda.

[1:46:11.000 --> 1:46:22.000]  The attorney-client privilege means that not only that you have a right to attorney, but that the things you talk about with your attorney are secret between the two of you.

[1:46:24.000 --> 1:46:26.000]  Well, now they've overturned that.
[1:46:26.000 --> 1:46:34.000]  They overturned it in civil case first, and they overturned it recently in a terrorist case with Lynn Stewart and put her in prison for representing a client.
[1:46:34.000 --> 1:46:37.000]  And now they're saying reporters don't have any secrecy?
[1:46:37.000 --> 1:46:41.000]  Well, and they don't have First Amendment rights, either.
[1:46:41.000 --> 1:46:46.000]  The first time they overturned attorney-client privilege was the Kay Shuler case.
[1:46:46.000 --> 1:46:55.000]  It was a firm that had been involved in the defense of Charles Keating, who, after four and a half years in prison, was found to be innocent and released by a federal judge.
[1:46:55.000 --> 1:47:05.000]  But the law firm that represented him, what the Justice Department did, the Injustice Department, they said, you should have ratted on your client.
[1:47:05.000 --> 1:47:08.000]  And they said, no, we can't do that. It's all illegal ethics.
[1:47:08.000 --> 1:47:09.000]  Well, you should have, and you didn't.
[1:47:09.000 --> 1:47:13.000]  And so we're freezing all the assets in your firm.
[1:47:13.000 --> 1:47:18.000]  And all of that, we're freezing all the personal assets of your 400 lawyers.
[1:47:18.000 --> 1:47:26.000]  And they'll stay frozen until you admit that you should have ratted on your client.
[1:47:26.000 --> 1:47:29.000]  That's Napoleonic. No judge, no jury.
[1:47:29.000 --> 1:47:37.000]  And so they extracted a huge fine from the firm in order to release their assets.
[1:47:37.000 --> 1:47:47.000]  Now, that's also basically a form of financial torture to take everybody's money and then compel them to basically lie.
[1:47:47.000 --> 1:47:55.000]  I mean, there they were saying, you've got to say you are bad and do all of this, or we won't give you your money.
[1:47:55.000 --> 1:48:01.000]  And see, that's the thing, Dr. Roberts, I see government now, they just engage in crime right out in front of everybody.
[1:48:01.000 --> 1:48:04.000]  Your average cop does your average detective.
[1:48:04.000 --> 1:48:07.000]  And they think it's normal in the case of Kelly rushing.
[1:48:07.000 --> 1:48:08.000]  And this was in the newspapers.
[1:48:08.000 --> 1:48:20.000]  One of my listeners, he gave a Ron Paul neocond speech 45 minute speech Ron Paul gave in 2000 and three on the floor of the house.
[1:48:20.000 --> 1:48:26.000]  And he gave that video with my film Road to Tyranny on the end of it to a state police officer.
[1:48:26.000 --> 1:48:32.000]  The guy washed it, lived a few doors down, arrested him a week later and said that video was threatening to me.
[1:48:32.000 --> 1:48:36.000]  And they put into evidence that the Ron Paul thing in Congress should be illegal.
[1:48:36.000 --> 1:48:42.000]  That it was a threat against law enforcement because he's because Ron Paul said that it was bad.
[1:48:42.000 --> 1:48:44.000]  I'm not kidding. I called the judge on the phone.
[1:48:44.000 --> 1:48:52.000]  Listen, there's no reason to kid. All these things are true. And the reason they can do them is that they are destroying these individuals.
[1:48:52.000 --> 1:49:00.000]  There's about a half a dozen rights that we originally had that restrained the government from doing these things.
[1:49:00.000 --> 1:49:08.000]  They've all been eroded and what was left of them has been destroyed by Bush through legislation.
[1:49:08.000 --> 1:49:14.000]  But it wasn't just getting, but it's not just destroying them for good intentions. And I know that happened in some cases.
[1:49:14.000 --> 1:49:23.000]  I'm asking you, how do you think an individual cop on the street goes and arrests somebody for their free speech or goes and arrests somebody for pocket constitutions they're handing out?
[1:49:23.000 --> 1:49:24.000]  I have video of that.
[1:49:24.000 --> 1:49:31.000]  It's very easy because you see over the years the police have learned several things.
[1:49:31.000 --> 1:49:45.000]  One, that hardly any of their evidence ever goes to trial. So they don't need any evidence anymore because, as I said, 95, 96% of all cases are settled by plea bargain.
[1:49:45.000 --> 1:49:48.000]  So the police evidence is not tested in court.
[1:49:48.000 --> 1:49:59.000]  Second, the police have, the conservatives have convinced everybody that without the police doing all these things, we'd all be murdered in our beds.
[1:49:59.000 --> 1:50:07.000]  Criminals would get us, terrorists would get us, and so the police have to be unconstrained, otherwise they can't protect us.
[1:50:07.000 --> 1:50:19.000]  And so this is how the police have gotten, you remember years and years ago, maybe you're not old enough, the liberals in New York City tried to have police review boards.
[1:50:19.000 --> 1:50:23.000]  And the conservatives like national review then were berserk.
[1:50:23.000 --> 1:50:28.000]  We can't have anybody looking over the police shoulders. They won't be able to do their jobs.
[1:50:28.000 --> 1:50:34.000]  This has long been brewing, and that's the reason the police are unconstrained.
[1:50:34.000 --> 1:50:38.000]  There's no accountability. There's no way to hold them accountable.

[1:54:33.000 --> 1:54:43.000]  They've caught the police dealing drugs. They've caught the Dallas police just randomly pulling over cars that look nice, planning shock in them.

[1:54:48.000 --> 1:54:54.000]  They're always catching police running drugs in the 70s. They fired more than two-thirds of the New York detectives for running the drugs.

[1:55:17.000 --> 1:55:22.000]  And I can list thousands of other cases in upstate New York.
[1:55:22.000 --> 1:55:26.000]  It's big news that the cops just pull over any women they want and rape them. That's mainstream.
[1:55:26.000 --> 1:55:31.000]  And it's making all the cops look bad now because the corruption is now systemic.
[1:55:31.000 --> 1:55:35.000]  It's just racing, racing through everything.
[1:55:35.000 --> 1:55:41.000]  Dr. Roberts, I see this scruffulous mass coming into a head. What do you see?

[1:55:54.000 --> 1:56:02.000]  One is men's rape. And that translates to mean there can be no crime without intent.

[1:56:07.000 --> 1:56:13.000]  But they've gotten around that in many ways, including criminalizing mistakes.
[1:56:13.000 --> 1:56:20.000]  If you make a mistake on a form that you fill out, then you can find yourself guilty of the felony.
[1:56:20.000 --> 1:56:29.000]  They'll say that's the felony. For example, there was a Virginia apple juice producer from an old Virginia family,
[1:56:29.000 --> 1:56:34.000]  a distinguished family, made apple juice at Apple Orchard's. His name has been Lacey.
[1:56:34.000 --> 1:56:47.000]  And they had to fill out monthly water reports on the stream behind his apple juice factory to prove they weren't dumping stuff in the stream.
[1:56:47.000 --> 1:56:52.000]  And the testing company always had trouble getting the test back in time.
[1:56:52.000 --> 1:56:58.000]  They would call up and read it to him over the phone. And he had the forms, and they would read to it, and he would fill in the forms.
[1:56:58.000 --> 1:57:03.000]  They wrote well over a three-year period. He made about eight or nine mistakes.
[1:57:03.000 --> 1:57:08.000]  He put some numbers on the wrong line. He put the decimal point wrong.
[1:57:08.000 --> 1:57:16.000]  It obviously wasn't hiding any pollution, but those mistakes were used.
[1:57:16.000 --> 1:57:23.000]  They were taking the trial on the grounds that this was a conspiracy to pollute the stream.
[1:57:23.000 --> 1:57:29.000]  Well, the stream was pristine. They had the stream tested. It was pristine.
[1:57:29.000 --> 1:57:33.000]  And the U.S. prosecutors kept the evidence out of court.
[1:57:33.000 --> 1:57:38.000]  The judge told the federal prosecutor, hey, look, I'm throwing this out. There's nothing here.
[1:57:38.000 --> 1:57:44.000]  They said, wait, wait a minute. And they had the plant manager also on trial with Ben Lacey.
[1:57:44.000 --> 1:57:52.000]  And they told him he was a young kid, scared, said, look, we're going to tend you up the river if you don't testify against your boss.
[1:57:52.000 --> 1:57:55.000]  And that's how they got a trial and a conviction.
[1:57:55.000 --> 1:58:03.000]  It was later overturned because the federal judge refused to sentence Lacey saying that this was a atrocity.
[1:58:03.000 --> 1:58:13.000]  But that's the way the law works. People don't have any protection, not just from the police, but they don't have any from the law, from the courts.
[1:58:13.000 --> 1:58:16.000]  It's very rare to even get a judge.

[2:01:27.000 --> 2:01:33.000]  what happened when you wrecked, and they then pull that out and use that against you in court.
[2:01:33.000 --> 2:01:40.000]  And I see cases all the time where somebody, it doesn't matter even if it's medical.
[2:01:40.000 --> 2:01:46.000]  Like you were saying, they've got diabetes, they pass out, they run off some embankment and runovers, you know,
[2:01:46.000 --> 2:01:50.000]  somebody on a bicycle, they go ahead and charge you with manslaughter.
[2:01:50.000 --> 2:01:55.000]  Or you're driving and a rabbit runs out in front of you and you swing the wheel.
[2:01:55.000 --> 2:01:59.000]  You should just run over them, folks, that's the right thing to do, not to hurt the bunny, but so you don't kill anybody.
[2:01:59.000 --> 2:02:07.000]  But you fly, you know, off the side of the highway into a parking lot and kill some woman or herder, they charge you for that.
[2:02:07.000 --> 2:02:11.000]  Or you're going 10 miles over the speed limit when you swerve the rabbit.
[2:02:11.000 --> 2:02:14.000]  And then they charge you because you were going 10 miles over the speed limit.
[2:02:14.000 --> 2:02:20.000]  Everything is designed to be spying on you. Everything's designed to record what you're doing.
[2:02:20.000 --> 2:02:32.000]  And they told many years ago, the IP companies, to just store everything you're doing on a computer, on their main hard drives to keep your whole history.

[2:03:24.000 --> 2:03:34.000]  I see it with Williamson County especially where we're on the radio and then local cops get mad and call up the station when they think that's freedom to call up and say don't talk like that to radio stations.

[2:03:38.000 --> 2:03:44.000]  And then the average Joe Schmo goes along with them and ends up going to prison thinking it's all going to work out.

[2:03:45.000 --> 2:03:47.000]  America's not like this.
[2:03:47.000 --> 2:03:55.000]  And another reason for it is that the cops need to show justifications for their budget so they need results.

[2:03:57.000 --> 2:04:05.000]  And so, you know, they don't care where the results come from as long as the results and it's easier to frame somebody than to convict them on evidence.
[2:04:05.000 --> 2:04:15.000]  Even the guilty, even people who've actually committed crimes are more likely to be framed than convicted on real evidence because it's easier to frame somebody.
[2:04:15.000 --> 2:04:19.000]  Well, it's better that 10 guilty men go free than one innocent man rotten in jail.
[2:04:19.000 --> 2:04:20.000]  Go ahead.
[2:04:20.000 --> 2:04:21.000]  Okay, that's right.
[2:04:21.000 --> 2:04:22.000]  They've forgotten that.
[2:04:22.000 --> 2:04:32.000]  And a third reason is we now have all these privatized prisons that need a full house in order to make the money for the investors.
[2:04:32.000 --> 2:04:36.000]  So they're under pressure to produce more and more.
