Blender Shutdown Unexpectedly on Mac

Blender 4.2.3
OSX Sonoma 14.6.1

Describe the bug

On shutdown of Blender the addon causes Blender to end it's cleanup prematurely and shows this error "Blender shutdown unexpectedly"

I close the Blender application and once the application appears to close correctly I get the message "Blender shutdown unexpectedly"

If I disable the BlenderGIS addon, I do not get this message - re-enable it and the issure returns
