Installing wordpress 6.4.2 with php 8.2: headers already sent by

This is a clean installation, without plugins or other stuff like this.

With DEBUG = true I see these errors:

Last but not least, at the installation time I can't select the language anymore!
After the installation, in Settings > General I can't see the selection of the language :O

Hmm, that's definitely strange (and I can't reproduce) -- is it possible your disk is full or near-full? Trying to think of reasons why the installation might fail in this specific way, and coming up short of anything other than perhaps corrupted files (and a full disk is the most likely cause of something like that). 😅

It seems I have still circa 700Gb available.
Probably too many overlay volumes?

I have tried to delete all files, volumes and data (Wordpress + MySQL)
Cancelled the image of Wordpress and started again all the process

In console, I see this error:

In another Wordpress on the same machine (and same docker-compose.yml) if I attach the console:

Ah yeah, interesting - I looked at the code, and https://github.com/WordPress/WordPress/blob/6.4.2/wp-includes/update.php#L205 is indeed that it's failing to contact WordPress.org to check for updates, so I guess your environment is somehow failing to resolve wordpress.org (from that curl output)?

yes, this is for sure the problem, but I can't understand why!
with this image: wordpress:6.3.0-php8.0-apache I don't have this problem

Same problem here using the official latest Wordpress Dockerfile image/tag

Going further, if I connect into the Docker container running, and try a apt-get update , there are several messages around missing public keys needed to establish secure connection. Could it be the same underlying root cause as with the symptoms described above?

A lot of the problems observed rely on calls to https://api.wordpress.org ; I think it's an SSL issue, but couldn't figure out a solution yet (except falling back on wordpress:6.3.0-php8.0-apache as kindly shared by @progressify )
