Comments
Could you please post the complete output when running |
|
Ok, looks like there is something with the 3.14.0 header package. I need to rebuild them. This however will not be before the weekend. |
Understood. Thanks for the help, I appreciate it. |
i think i get the same problem for 3.8.11:
|
Yes, it is the github raw link that has changed. I need to adjust the repo including the new github link.. |
Same problem here currently on 3.8.11. |
same issue on 3.14.0 |
Hi Divx118, any update for the new repo? |
workaround is to just download .deb files from the appropriate /pool/main/l folder in the github repo. |
What about for 3.18.0???? |
I can't find the right .deb for 3.18.0 |
Yes,I just did it. Vbox works perfectly. Thanks a lot |
What version did you try it with |
3.8.11, also I tried docket machine after that and docker it works ok with nat . My chromebook is Hp 14. New to chrome os, but a lot fun thanks to crouton! |
It appears to work for 3.8.11, 3.4.0, and 3.10.18. it says unsupported for 3.18.0 |
@oboff to confirm, you're suggesting downloading the .deb files and running dpkg -i? It looks like there aren't .deb files for i386/3.14.0. Is there a workaround for i386/3.14.0? |
@sammcveety you are right, appears that only amd64 deb files exist. sorry. |
@divx118 any recommendations for i386/3.14.0? |
Sorry guys a bit too busy it will take some time to update the repo hope you all have some patience. Indeed the current workaround is downloading directly the deb files. |
Hey, think there's still one that's not happening (sorry :/)
|
@goldenforever Yes, it is still broken, currently I just don't have the time to fix it. You can update your chroot like normal when you remove |
It seems the bad header line is related to http response headers served by github I've created a fix that uses a CDN to serve the repo https://rawgit.com/ see pull request #46 |
When attempting to install packages with setup-headers.sh:
Virtualbox will not work, instead will it encounter an error relating to 3.14.0 kernel headers. I assume this means that they have not been installed.
I don't know how any of this works, so forgive me if it's my fault.
