ERROR_QUEUE_OVERFLOW on connection, on latest release (0.9.6)

I've removed the plugin deb, which was installed via jgeboski's repository, and reinstalled it via source, however, I started getting the ERROR_QUEUE_OVERFLOW error.

I originally thought that this was some sort of mixup, however, after patching the source as instructed on this other issue and recompiling (note that I've patched the source, not the binary), it now works, so I think that the issue still stands.

I can't reopen the old issue, so I've created a new one.
