I'm not sure, it depends on how standard it is and how the formatting is done. I do a lot of my testing with Wikipedia, and the footnotes there end up with a lot of extra HTML. |

Well, I guess the footnotes are not very standard in what I was looking at, but the small caps is something like this:

Using lots of academic text, I was wondering if it would be possible to convert all small caps to bold text, and footnotes to something like [^1]?
