I'm thinking of having a go at this shortly.

Any thoughts on how this should work?

Scan across the current band using the current frequency step?
Scan across memories ?
Use the squelch setting as the threshold?

how do we map pause, continue (reverse?) onto the buttons?

  • Back gets you out of scanning mode?
  • rotary right to continue scanning up?
  • rotary left to continue scanning down?

Please chip in or you get what you get!

For scanning I would say:

  • Scan across memories
  • Use the squelch setting as the threshold
  • Save found stations in the memory (at the end?)
  • Back gets you out of scanning mode?

  • rotary right to continue scanning up?

  • rotary left to continue scanning down?

For scanner mode, yes, this seems reasonable.
