This works WAY better for me. Without this fix almost all icons get white/purple -ish etc. background, thin lines disappear. With this fix it works almost as good as on OS X. Screenshot included: http://i.imgur.com/aYFlF4k.png
Also I switched to JRE1.7, but it may not be relevant.

Hi Vadim - happy to include the fix. I was also less then satisfied with my original work but figured they were at least functional (without squinting). I don't use GitHub too much, so feel free to message me the patch or do a branch. Happy to add you as a committer if that's easier.

Ha - looks like i'm going to have to finally learn Git properly and work out how accept your pull request.

I think you don't really need to use git for this one. You should have a button 'Merge pull request' in 'Pull requests' https://help.github.com/articles/merging-a-pull-request
