Hi, we are presently working on an actual comic book for a minority language. We just discovered Comic Neue and really like it.

We need the following (additional) glyphs to render our language:

Ǝ | U+018E | U018E | LATIN CAPITAL LETTER REVERSED E | Latin Extended B
ǝ | U+01DD | U01DD | LATIN SMALL LETTER TURNED E | Latin Extended B
Ɩ | U+0196 | U0196 | LATIN CAPITAL LETTER IOTA | Latin Extended B
ɩ | U+0269 | U0269 | LATIN SMALL LETTER IOTA | IPA Extensions
Ɔ | U+0186 | U0186 | LATIN CAPITAL LETTER OPEN O | Latin Extended B
ɔ | U+0254 | U0254 | LATIN SMALL LETTER OPEN O | IPA Extensions
Ʊ | U+01B1 | U01B1 | LATIN CAPITAL LETTER UPSILON | Latin Extended B
ʊ | U+028A | U028A | LATIN SMALL LETTER UPSILON | IPA Extensions
Ŋ | U+014A | ENG | LATIN CAPITAL LETTER ENG | Latin Extended A
ŋ | U+014B | eng | LATIN SMALL LETTER ENG | Latin Extended A
Ɖ | U+0189 | U0189 | LATIN CAPITAL LETTER AFRICAN D | Latin Extended B
ɖ | U+0256 | U0256 | LATIN SMALL LETTER D WITH TAIL | IPA Extensions
Ɛ | U+0190 | U0190 | LATIN CAPITAL LETTER OPEN E | Latin Extended B
ɛ | U+025B | U025B | LATIN SMALL LETTER OPEN E | IPA Extensions

edit: sorry and thank you: I opened in Fontforge and found that several common combining diacritics are already included, amoung those the three which we need, so I just shortened the list of needed glyphs here.

I already found the hint that we can fork and do the work. And I am willing to do it. Sadly I found that your source files are in .glyphs format, and were probably created on a Mac in Glyphs 3(?).

Our project here has got a very limited budget and we try to do as much as possible in the Open Source way. So I plan to use FontForge to add our needed extra glyphs. Please give me hints on how to obtain the source data in a way that I can open or import in FontForge.

Do you have any documentation and style guide or other ressources, so that I can extend and stay nicely in the design of Comic Neue?

Thank you for any tipps and input. I am doing this on top of my normal work and I am not a professional typeface designer. Is this a good place where I can submit my drafts for peer review or do you operate a forum or mailing list or other main place of collaboration? Greetings, Martin
