I have pro developer version too :)
I can confirm this. There is no example for layout with a standard sidebar (not mention 3 columns layout)
Using cards for this just doesn't look good, card-plain wasn't visible, normal cards were too much raised etc. And with padding around ul/li list it's just look weird. And the coloured caption is the next problem. Too much customization for something so common for blogs. It would be great to have this styled directly by you.

In progress, but I still don't like it.
