Is the title of this issue an oxymoron? Is it even possible to do this?
I think so. I think more choices (#32), cinematic battles (#37), and better usability (#40) will all help the fun, but more iteration and creativity and voices and sound effects and interesting cards and such will definitely continue to improve the experience.

I think that one of the biggest things that could be done to make this game more fun is to make it feel a little more fast-paced, or at least more "intense", whatever that means in practice. I think we can maybe configure Alexa to speak faster, and/or use recorded voice acting to give some emotion and some urgency to some of the dialogue/responses. In general, right now it just sounds like a bland emotionless description of what is happening, with no "oh no!" when bad things happen and no "hooray!" when good things happen. I think that well-embellished voice acting will solve a lot of this, but some of the pacing of the dialogue itself could also be streamlined.
I think if you combine this general sense of improved engagement with the cinematic battles, more choices, and better usability, we'll have a hell of a game.
