401 on checkout #417
Comments
Could be a coincidence/red herring, but after manually logging into my epic account via browser, I was greeted by a new end user license agreement which I accepted. After that restarting the container successfully processed the checkout. Feel like we should introduce a new config item allowing service to send push notification on errors so they can be dealt with. This 401 simply fails silently. |
Yes, it was the same for me. I had the same 401 error and then logged in to Epic Games and went to the store. There, I was also greeted with a new End User License Agreement, and after accepting it, I was able to grab games again. Many thanks for that! |
Thank you! This same thing happened to me. 401 error. I was already logged in on my browser with cookies. Browsed to epicgames and the EULA popped up. Hit accept and closed the tab. Restarted the container and now it's working again. I agree would be nice if these errors did not fail silently. |
Can confirm. Accepting the new EULA resolved my 401 errors as well. |
I was having the same issues as well. Just wanted to share that accepting the new EULA resolved my 401 errors. Thank you @laur89!!! |
I can also confirm accepting EULA fixes the error :) |
Same for me as well, accepting EULA fixed it. The Devs might want to put in a notification for this type of error so users can check, if I wasn't looking at the epic store and seeing a new game and wondering why this tool wasn't notifying me I would have never known. |
also experienced the same issue and fixed by accepting new ToS/EULA. I wish the thing have sent notification that something went wrong, but meh the issue actually been happening for the past few weeks, probably missed some free games during that timeline it had issue. |
