The idea is to have a similar behavior to v4 and improve the UX for desktop users.

The algorithm would analyze where the mouse cursor is and if it is

  • over a widget
  • or nearby (let's say 20px "trigger area"),

then the magic blocks in that widget would show up like when the widget is selected. If two widgets are close to each other, this would show magic block buttons of the closest widget only.

This should help users insert new paragraphs between the blocks.
