How to specify path containing wildcards in save_cache

Missing Information

It is not currently possible to use wildcards in save_cache paths.

• Issue was opened for API 1.0 and closed
• Discussions happened without mitigation proposal
• Feature request was proposed and upvoted by 77 persons as of now

Potential Locations

I would expect to just work. Then no documentation would be needed? Otherwise documentation explaining how to go around that limitation.

@tlaurion There is still not any immediate plans to support wildcards in save_cache paths. We can add a note to the docs about this, and can add in the work around of caching workspaces as suggested in the Discuss article you referenced, however we realize this is not the exact solution everyone is looking for. If you'd like help with your specific set up, that would need to go through Support (you can select Build Failure/Configuration Help), where an engineer could assist you and perhaps find a better solution.
