As I understand the message, the problem is that the URL you posted (the download links we generate on the website) refer to a PHP script. This is a script that counts downloads and tracks their location from the IP address, etc.

Instead, they're requesting a 'plain' URL to a file for a 'direct' download. Fortunately, the OpenVSP web site is pretty simple and the equivalent direct download link is simply:

https://openvsp.org/zips/current/windows/OpenVSP-3.40.1-win64-Python3.11.zip

Obviously, these will change when new versions are released etc.

I initially crossed out the redirect URLs but the bot seems to ignore the markdown. So i've deleted them. Hopefully that should be enough for the bot

It is looking for ONE download URL after the colon. It doesn't look at anything else or interpret bullet points. @AdmiringWorm can clarify.
