As mentioned in #2, interpolation methods need to be supported, or, are they already implemented but don't know where to trigger this feature.
Just now I was trying to load pano images into an Equi object and convert it to faces. The conversion was successful, but experienced missing pixels and aliasing (moiré pattern) possibly due to undersampling.
Don't know if it was because I did it wrong. If I was, is there quick fix?
As shown in the following (the first one is input, the rest are converted faces):

everything is in their default set up. I did not change the input or output image sizes.
