Hello,
I am using the double VPN option. I'd like to connect to the CH-NL connection, but my system automatically chooses NL-UK (it is correctly using NL only as the first location). Is it possible to choose a specific server, or to choose multiple countries that are preferred?
Thanks

Hi and thanks for the feedback.

Nordnm currently has rather limited support for the "double vpn" connections NordVPN provides. The NordVPN API makes it a little tricky to differentiate between different secondary countries of a double VPN connection, but it is definitely possible with a little hackery.

I will note down the following as feature proposals:

  • Auto-connect option should be able to accept a specific server ID (e.g. nl-ch1), as well as the current country_code, category, protocol format. Additionally, for double vpn connections, the country_code value should be able to accept multiple countries in some form (Not sure what would be the most intuitive as of yet).
  • Double VPN connections should be benchmarked depending on the combination of countries, not just the final country. This way, each combination will have a 'best' connection synchronised.

Let me know if those two proposals sound like they would satisfy your needs and I will do my best to add them to the next version!
