How to edit a file on GitHub

  1. Navigate to the file you would like to change.
  2. Click on the pencil in the upper right corner of the document.
  3. Make the appropriate changes.
  4. Type a commit message.
  5. Choose **Commit directly to your branch. - We can do this because GitHub already recognizes that this file only exists on this branch.
  6. Click Commit changes.
