Background

• This is part 2 of the full chain, part 1 is the ntuple production:
  • originally in https://github.com/cms-opendata-validation/2011-jet-inclusivecrosssection-ntupleproduction by Matias Haapalehto summer 2016
  • optimized in speed by Sasha https://github.com/cms-opendata-validation/2011-jet-inclusivecrosssection-ntupleproduction-optimized and now on the portal http://opendata.cern.ch/record/5104
• It reads the flat ntuples produced in part 1
  • the original ntuples are available from /afs/cern.ch/user/m/mhaapale/work/public/Jet-Tuples-Summer2016 and they will be added to the portal as "derived data" record (after a check that the optimized code produces exactly the same) Create record for derived data for 2011 jet validation step #1192

To do

• check that the code runs also on Open Data VM
  • readme says that the code was tested in ROOT 6, while the virtual machine runs ROOT 5
• the luminosity table in https://github.com/cms-opendata-validation/2011-jet-inclusivecrosssection-analysis/tree/master/jetphys/lumicalc should be the same as the one now available on the portal in 2011lumibyls.csv in http://opendata.cern.ch/record/1051
  • change the instructions at the beginning of https://github.com/cms-opendata-validation/2011-jet-inclusivecrosssection-analysis/blob/master/jetphys/mk_runFullAnalysis.C correspondingly
  • the lumi values are read in in https://github.com/cms-opendata-validation/2011-jet-inclusivecrosssection-analysis/blob/master/jetphys/fillHistos.C
• take note of the To do list in readme

When done, a record for it can be created on the portal.
